Best Prices on Bazzill

While I am not a cardstock snob, I do love the texture of Bazzill. I know many a scrapbooker that will ONLY use it so I thougt a great starting point for this blog would be a site that has the best prices on Bazzill.

Remember the Moments has it for .45 a sheet. They also offer reasonable flat rate shipping, and have the new Basic Grey coordinating colors, that many of us were waiting on.

My problem now is I want it all :)

Some supplies just aren't worth the money...Or clever tips to avoid buying expensive crap!

I know that many of us are suckers to get the latest and greatest tools and toys and we wind up spending $$$$ on stuff that either doesn't work or just isn't worth the money.

Two recent products come to mind as being at the forefront of this trend to reinvent the wheel- the Fastenater and Making Memories Tag Maker. The Fastenater is a giant stapler for pretty decorative staples . The tag maker is a press that you can make "custom" metal rimmed tags with. For both of these tools you can by the actual staples/tags separately and use them
WITHOUT the tool. The Fastenater people are even coming out with a smaller version for people who didn't want to spend the $24 the first go round.

Folks you don't NEED the tool. Put the package down and step slowly back from the register.

For the Fastenater simply line up where you want to place the staple and push gently don onto your paper, or make a mark with a pencil. Then you can make a small cut with your exacto knife or scissors and push the staple through. Just bend the ends back like you would for a brad.

To make your own matching tags, simply buy the tags and then use a hammer to press the edges in to place. If you are worried about denting the tag you can use a cutting mat or other material between the tag and hammer.

Look, I know how much pressure there is from marketing agencies via online sites, magazines and even the dreaded peer pressure at crops to whip the latest and greatest from your oh so cute tote...But you can resist. It is not futile!

Just think how clever you will look when you have all this extra $$ to spend on the important things like cardstock and ribbon :)

First Sale

So for the first sale I wanted to post that Hobby Lobby is having a 50% off of almost everyithing scrabook related as you can see in their ad. This sale is valid through Saturday April 1 2006. You can see the complete ad here.

I am already plotting to head there Thursday after work to stock up on even more things I don't need :)

Welcome to Square Peas

Greetings and welcome to Square Peas. You source for all the juicy details of where to get the BEST prices and bargains on scrapbook supplies. I am a member of www.twopeasinabucket.com (the largest scrapbooking message board on the internet) and store (well when they have items actually in stock). The problem is that because of the store you can not post any deals, prices, information that might take business away from them. So you get one person finding a deal and 200 other desperate scrap supply addicted women "peamailing" the poor poster to try to find out the who, what, when, where, and why (well we know why- we'll buy almost any scrapbook supply if it's on sale).

So my mostly brilliant husband suggested a place where people can go to find the best deals and sales; cause god knows we LOVE a bargain.

And thus Square Peas- Little tidbits of information that don't fit 2peas' TOS.

So if you know where to find the best prices on Bazzil, ribbon, etc...Let me know :)
